Inpatient programs
If you’re 18 years and above, living with a mental health condition, or alcohol or other drug addiction and need more intensive support, an inpatient program at The Southwest Clinic may be suitable for you.
What do we treat?
The Southwest Clinic offers an inpatient stay and treatment for people who need support in the following areas:
- Depressive disorders
- Anxiety disorders
- Bipolar disorder
- Personality disorders
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Schizophrenia and psychosis
- Trauma and PTSD
- Substance use disorder
As a registered mental health facility, we can also support people with a dual diagnosis of a mental health condition and substance use disorder.
What does an inpatient stay involve?
An inpatient program involves a stay in hospital where you’ll receive round-the-clock care, time away from your usual living situation and the space and support you need to focus on your recovery.
For some, this can seem daunting, however our friendly, expert team will welcome you on arrival and ensure that you feel safe and supported throughout your stay.
The Southwest Clinic offers a diverse mental health and substance use disorder/process/behaviour disorder inpatient program with care tailored to your needs. Our evidence-based inpatient program includes one-to-one and group-based therapy delivered by qualified, skilled mental health professionals.
Group therapy provides you with the opportunity to spend time with other people that may have had similar experiences and understand what you’ve been going through.
Depending on your needs, your psychiatrist may also recommend other inpatient treatments including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
