Your surgery will be performed in one of our state-of-the-art operating theatres. These impressive theatres attract leading surgeons and highly-qualified surgical teams from across Australia.
Our surgical teams are supported by world-class technology and equipment in the theatres. This includes a urology laser and water vapour therapy for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BHP). And we work closely with imaging and pathology partners to bring market-leading diagnostic technology to you and our community.
Within our operating theatre complex we also have a specialised hybrid interventional theatre which can be used for both standard surgical procedures as well as interventional radiological procedures when advanced imaging availability is required intraoperatively.
Recovery
After surgery you can expect wonderful care on our dedicated and fully-monitored surgical wards. There, you’ll be supported by a team of experienced nurses who’ll aid in your recovery. They’ll go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home.
The surgical ward is in close proximity to our theatres and Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The private patient experience
When you choose to be a private patient you’ll enjoy rapid access to surgery and be able to choose your own surgeon.
Our friendly Bookings and Admission team will book you in and answer any questions you have. They’ll escort you and your support person to the pre-admission centre before going through to theatre.
No private health insurance?
If you don’t have private health insurance or you’re an overseas patient, you can choose to self-fund your surgery. Your specialist can talk to you about this option.
